IKONOS Imagery

Metadata:

The CPC Ecuador Spatial Database contains 9 IKONOS scenes for different sections of our study area. The scenes span the time frame from 10/25/2000 to 02/09/2002. General metadata is below, containing information relevant to all scenes. Specific metadata follows, containing the details for each individual scene.

General Metadata:

Abstract:
Each scene contains two images: a multispectral and a panchromatic. The multispectral image has four spectral bands that correspond to Blue, Green, Red, and Near Infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The panchromatic image is one grayscale image that covers the entire electromagnetic wavelength range covered by the multispectral image.
Source:
All scenes were acquired from Space Imaging through the University of New Hampshire’s EOS-WEBSTER program.
Spatial Resolution:
Multispectral – 4 meters
Panchromatic – 1 meter
Spectral Bandwidth (μm):
Band 1: 0.445 – 0.516
Band 2: 0.506 – 0.595
Band 3: 0.632 – 0.698
Band 4: 0.757 – 0.853
Panchromatic: 0.526 – 0.929
Horizontal Accuracy:
The data were all processed at the Standard Master level of precision, resulting in a horizontal positional accuracy of ± 12.2 meters.
