Title: South ISA Elevation Contours
Geospatial_Data_Presentation_Form: vector digital data
Description:
Abstract:
This data set contains 20-meter elevation contours for the Southern Intensive Study Area (ISA) of the CPC Ecuador Projects, in the northern Oriente of Ecuador.
Purpose:
The elevation contours are used, in conjunction with point elevations, to create a raster digital elevation model (DEM).

Access_Constraints:
Data is available to the public, made possible through the NASA LBA program.
Use_Constraints:
There are no use constraints. However, potential users should be aware of possible ramifications of using the contours to create a DEM of too fine a resolution, given the interval of the contours.
Contours were digitized by Michelle Lown, Bonnie Kaserman, and Brandie Sullivan of the Spatial Analysis Unit, Carolina Population Center. Contours were edgematched and appended by Brian Frizzelle of the Spatial Analysis Unit, Carolina Population Center.

Attribute_Accuracy:
Attribute_Accuracy_Report:
Attribution was based on the elevations assigned to contours on the source map. There is 100% agreement for attribution between each digitized contour and its source contour. Accuracy of the attribution is dependent solely on the accuracy of the data source.
Logical_Consistency_Report: Arc topology exists.
Completeness_Report: Data are complete for the ISA.
Positional_Accuracy:
Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy:
Horizontal_Positional_Accuracy_Report:
Horizontal accuracy is assumed to be within the NMAS standards for a map of this scale.

Attribute items are in typical ARC/INFO arc format. Attributes requiring additional explanation are: TYPE – 1 indicates that the contour elevation is a multiple of 100; 2 indicates that the contour elevation is not a multiple of 100 CTRLINE – The elevation value of the contour, in meters
